It's all about lips 👄💄

My mom gave me her antique samsonite overnight bag... Who am I not to accept it... It's samsonite and lasts a lifetime.

Soooooh.. I decided to keep my valuables in it... 

My lippies..

To date.. Got 50 (almost) lipsticks... Not including those that expired and thrown...

Nope.. I am not a lippie addict...

My MACs

14 MAC lippies... Mostly are mattes and retro mattes... This will always be my favorite brand... Good staying power and variety of colors.. 

My NYXes

Got 5 butter lipsticks, 2 mattes and 5 soft matte lip creams.. 

The butter lipsticks are good for just-need-to-have-color-on-my-lips... Not long lasting...

Matte lipsticks can be used if I don't want my MACs to be overused...

SMLCs are my fave too.. Long lasting and great shades.

My L'OREALs

Only 4 of them... Not a fan of them at first.. But when I used this with my MAC prep and prime lip primer I began to love them.. A bit drying though compared to my MACs...

My REVLONs

Got 4 of them.. 2 colorburst matte balms and 2 lacquer balms. My fave during workiouts and trainings..

My HAPPY SKINs

2 lippies from them... A bit drying though but I love the colors...

My EVER BILENAs

Yes I do have them.. Started buying when I left my lippie and this is the only available and cheap lippie I can have... Loved it and it's not drying... Not a matte though.. I use this when I have to run an unexpected errands.. 

My AVONs

Yeah got them too.. These are my orangey shades... Gifts from friends.. 

Think can't pull off an orange lippie so they are the least lippie I use...

My WATERPROOFs

Really a waterproof one... These I use during races... Yeah.. The secret why my lippie stays after 2 hours running.. With sweat and water... Still not washed... 

Can't use it as a daily lippie though.. Coz it felt like paint on ur lips..

My GLOSSES/BALMS

I used them before I apply my lippie.. Moisturizing lips before applying lipstick is important to keep em from drying and discoloration... 

LIP PRIMERs and LINERS

One way to keep lippies stay on your lips is by applying primers and lipliners...

True to it's word.. MAC Prep and Prime lip primer is the best so far... I don't need to apply lip balms as this gives moisture as well.. That is also one of the reasons my lippies stay on my lips for hours.. 

Lipliners also help in making our lippies last long... 

EXFOLIATE

And lastly... We should exfoliate our lippies.. Most especially someone like me who can't live without lippies... 

It will keep our lips natural color and softness...

No Makeup Look

Just a fresh no makeup look using MMUs

I've tried two or three brands.. But only Ellana Minerals Makeup line did not break me out...

It even improved the condition of my skin..

Sooooh... Here's my mmu makeup...

From primers, to foundations, to concealers, finishing powders, blushies and eyeshadows... I have them all in different shades...

This is my everyday go makeup.. Gives me a healthy glow... Easy to apply and very pigmented but doesn't look like you have make up...

Here's the output of using only their loose powder foundie in Espresso con Pana and Lust blushie...

No eye/brow makeup... Just as simple as that...

And oh... My skin does not like their pressed powders... Too bad.. :(

But it's okay... I don't mind using their loose powders...

A Rainy MOTD

A rainy day indeed..

To brighten up the gloomy day... Decided to exert extra effort to prettify my face.. ;)

So here it goes...

First is... I applied the sunblock from my dermatologist.. 

And as a moisturizer.. I applied Myra-E BB vitaglow BB cream.. The consistency is somewhat like a tinted moisturizer.. So I consider that as one.

To brighten up my undereye.. I applied K-palette Kuma Concealer... Just a few dot is enough... And spread with pointed foundation brush...

To set the bb cream and the concealer... Ben Nye Luxury Banana Powder is applied... I really love this powder as it gives a certain glow in the face... And controls my oilies...

And... To add color to my eyes... I roadtested my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette... I love that it is really pigmented... I find it hard to show the color using my other eyeshadows.. So I guess this is one good investment..

I used the Maybeline Gel Liner in brown as eyeliner (okay.. I need to improve on this).. To curl my eyelashes.. I used the Fanny Serrano Eyelash Curler (they said it is a dupe of Shu Uemura) and K-palette 1 day volume mascara..

Apologies on my eyebrows.. Yeah I know it needs some clean up... ;)

And speaking of brows, to shade it (because it's really thin) I used the In2It eyebrow powder... Then brushed it with ELF eyebrow gel... Both in brown.. 

For my cheeks... I used Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink.. It's quite shimmery.. But it showed as a nice glow in my cheeks...

Lastly, for my lips.. I used Ever Bilena's lip color in 712.. Err.. Just a side comment... The gtalkers are raving for KBs lippie in SDTG... So they researched the lippie she used... And tada.. Here it is.. Just road testing it...

Rub and Ribs, Kapitolyo, Pasig

Got good feedbacks from friends...

We attempted to take our brunch here one time but was unlucky since it is still closed...

We tried again last Monday... We had our early dinner...

I ordered solo ribs with garlic spinach mushroom as side...

 

And hubby ordered beef... (Oh my bad... Was not able to capture a photo)...

All I can say is... Too good value for money...

 

We only spent PHP540...

Pwede syang balik-balikan...

LS&VS

I've always loved lingeries...

Not the sexy ones... Just the ordinary type ones...

Was glad to meet an online seller friend... Bought most of my VS undies from her.. I do hope there will be a VS shop here in.Manila...

Since I haven't bought VS bra to pair with my undies... I bought from La Senza...

Luckily there's a promo... Buy 2 take 1...

Work/Life Balance.. what does this mean?

this, is my definition:

weekdays...

4am-6pm - junepets' time... wake up in the morning for training... running... need to lose weight and training for the upcoming runs..

i used to train after office hours... either Ayala Triangle or BHS... but since i transferred to a new company, need to adjust my schedule.. turns out, i enjoyed running in the morning now... ;)

6-8am - hubby time... after running in the morning, need to prepare coffee for hubby... cook our baon... iron our clothes.. best time of the day....

8am-8pm - ACN time... work work work... :D

8pm-4am - hubby time... sleeping time.. ;)

weekends: spend this with the most important people in my life..

hubby time, family time, friends bonding time, running time.. ;)

why do i run - continuation

since march 2010, i make sure i join a race event atleast once or twice a month.. but since i transferred to a new company (nanganga pa) i was not able to join, and even train, for 2 months.. *sigh*... so i made sure, starting january of 2011, i will be running again...

WLB - that's what i needed...
to date, below are my racing records... fastest so far is 1:06 - bluewater day spa run.... sub60 bakit ang layo layo mo? :D



my last run last year was for HSBC - november 6, 2010 that is... haiz.. ;)
supposedly, next run after that was United Run 2, kaso our flight to Davao was changed earlier... :(

this was an event organized by RunRio... only 1 week notice but with him running the event, am so confident this will be well organized one... there were no loot bags but really i don't mind.. well hydrated ang mga tao...

really enjoyed this run, was able to beat PR...

ang sarap ng tumakbo knowing that it is for a cause... kahit ganong pagod... sakit.. ok lang.... really glad to be of help... now they can smile...

20100925 - Auto Review Run 4 Road Safety

My 2nd 5k... have to run 5k first... baka mabigla ang puso ko.. ;)
hmmmm.. all i can say is.. the only best part in this run is lotsa hydration stations.. overflowing ang pocari.. yun lang...
registration fee is so expensive... di man lang for a cause... owel.. ganun talaga..
enjoyed running.. for me not worth ang registration fee...
as usual.. pamatay talaga ang uphills dito... g'luck sa legs...
this is one run where hubby was not able to take a picture of me while running.. sa dami ng naglalakad.. este.. tumatakbo sa 5k... hindi nya ko makita... ;)

20101003 - AVON Kiss Goodbye to Breast Cancer

had a great run..
ang daming freebies..
all worth ang reg fee sa loot bag pa lang..
except for one.. kulang sa hydration..
dun pa sa critical place naubusan ng tubig..
but overall still fun fun fun.. got to meet a lot of takbo.ph peeps.. ;)
the best part again was, sarap talaga tumakbo lalo na kung nakakatulong ka.. i would rather spend every single centavo and every drop of my pawis just for them... and will also run for runrio organized event (talagang isingit daw to!)... :D

20101010 - 101010 Run Para sa Ilog Pasig

being part of this once in a lifetime event is what makes it so important..
at first i was very hesitant to join this race 'coz i know there will be lots of people joining this event..
buti finally gave in.. signed up for the event.. since 'twas a new route for me... (Ayala Manila Pen to MOA - this is my regular route so am also challenged that i will be able to run/walk to the road where i normally pass by)..
really had fun and enjoyed the chika pace with my bestfriend and her son (my inaanak too) and my bro... all of them first time joining the event... i really did not aim for PR.. just had fun... and 'twas really fun...
am proud of my besty and my inaanak.. and my bro Mig for finishing the event... happy for my bro, his first time so his PR is 1:38.. not bad for a first timer ha..
really 'ope to run with them again in future events..


certificate from Guiness Book of Records was already released, we are now the record holder for number of runners in the world... 168k ++ joined this event.

20101017 - Blue Water Day Spa Run

was kinda disappointed with this run.
but the best part... so far this event holds my PR.... my ipod timer says: 1:06:16
also, was able to have photo with Karylle, Favio and takbo.ph members (with coach Rio).
sana next time si angel at maricar naman makasama ko sa pic. ;)

20101024 - Adidas KOTR

i really did not register for this event... really can't give justification for it's very high registration fee... but, i won a free race kit (translated -> race bib)... so i was able to run at this event (owel, atleast not a bandit runner)..
day before the race, takbo.ph peeps organized a carbo loading party at Joey Pepperoni Global City... at that time, all i knew was i will not run for the event... but there, cybermumu gave me her extra race kit... just the kit... thanks cybermumu ;)
i enjoyed the event.. syempre, who wouldn't, you are running for free.. and i love the route (kalayaan flyover).. my first run there was at the Mizuno Event (i walked lang actually).. so i wanted to run again at kalayaan flyover and it's a big accomplishment for me..
no PR.. but still so happy...
too bad, there are many rants regarding this event.... owel.. i did not pay for it.. so you wouldn't hear any from me.. ;)
buti na lang i used my old running shoe, it was all mud and potholes on some routes... geeessh... i thought should be King Of the Road, King Of TeRrain pala.. :D

20101106 - HSBC 135 Run

alright... not much rants (kahit na marami.. :D)
1. registration - singlet size 'S' is already available when we registered.. kaso nakareserve na raw... they will text us once the next batch for singlet arrives. they texted us telling 'M' size singlet arrived already... so what happened to the 'S' size singlet?
2. no sports drinks - though enough naman ang water station for me... puro tubig nga lang
3. walang nagbabantay sa mga traffic lights... nakakatakot tumakbo lalo na dun sa last 3k kasi kanya kanyang tawid na... nagulat na lang ako may katabi akong motor
4. timer is not visible sa runners.. di ko tuloy alam kung ano time ko.. :D
5. LOOT BAGS - sobrang hhhaaaaaabbaaaaaa ng pila... one line for all categories.. good luck naman dun... ran for more than an hour.... and pumila more than an hour din... thanks to takbo.ph peeps.. buti na lang nakita namin sila... napaikli pila namin.. :D
yan.. wala naman masyadong rants.. nakakapagod na din..
but still.. enjoyed the run... lalo na it's for a cause..
LESSON LEARNED:
sa RUNRIO races na lang ako mag 10k.... if it's for a cause... 5k na lang ako mag sign up. ;)


20110109 - PSE Bull Run - Takbo Para sa Ekonomiya

this is it... my first run for the year.. after 2 months of no running (thanks to ACN - 2 months na pala ako dito btw..).. am back on the road... no PR but still happy... was able to run at Kalayaan Flyover again... whopee.. and this time... ang dilim... i dunno kung nagtitipid ang makati.. even street lights are not on...
this is the only run where i experienced mag salok ng gatorade from the big jug - ang alat ng gatorade.. nyahahaha... even ako nalublob ang kamay ko while 'saloking'... at mag salo ng water from the manila water van - kanya kanyang kuha ng water... hang kulit.. buti na lang malamig so di masyadong dehydrated...
still, running will always be my passion.. will never stop running til my legs or heart told me to do so...
need to train more for the Condura Run.. and to lose weight.. :D


next run will be The Condura Skyway Marathon .... woot woot... need to train for this for my first sub60... wanna run 16k sana kaso while running kanina.. na realize ko na hidi pa ko handa..
